As a receptionist you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will be working with a team of members and providers, scheduling appointments, obtaining and verifying billing information, checking patients in and out, entering patient demographics, collecting payments, maintaining medical charts, scanning and keeping documents organized. You will answer, screen, route calls and take messages. You will process referrals, eligibility, authorizations, disability forms, etc.  SHIFT AND SCHEDULE Full -Time Monday - Friday 8:00 AM  - 5:00 PM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS • Greet patients, prepare and collect completed necessary forms that are required from patients office visit. • Enter patient information in electronic medical record (EMR) while updating insurance data, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, deductibles, or patient out-of-pocket amounts due. • Process visits thru proper use of CPT and ICD coding, process payments for such visits, compile daily journal and deposit. • Perform various clerical duties such as answering telephones, recording messages, preparing physician schedules, copying and scanning materials for entry to patient charts per procedure, and maintain a clean work area. • Order appropriate office supplies, forms, and filing supplies following purchasing procedures. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Ability to read and analyze information, as well as have the ability to effectively communicate information and respond in English to questions from clinic personnel. • 2 years previous clinic experience preferred. • Bilingual is a highly preferred skill for the position. Responsibilities: - Perform microscopic examination and analysis of cellular specimens, including non-GYN specimens. - Assess specimens for adequacy to ensure accurate diagnosis. - Identify and document abnormal cells or cellular changes. - Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of findings. - Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols. - Stay current with advancements in cytology techniques and technologies. Responsible for provider onboarding, startup and tracking of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for all medical providers who provide patient care. Responsible for ensuring providers are credentials, appointed, and privilege with health plans, hospitals and patient care facilities. Collaborates with Care Management, Third Party Payors, Providers and other departments to provide rapid and thorough identification, investigation and resolution of member, practitioner and provider quality related issues. Maintain up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems; ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications. SHIFT AND SCHEDULE M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS • Perform all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple projects and timelines with minimal supervision required. • Ability to identify, assess and resolve highly complex problems relating to Provider onboarding. • Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers. • Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows up as needed.
