Performs the essential duties and the primary functions of a physical therapist. Responsibilities include but are not limited to evaluating patients, developing goals and treatment plans, administering physical therapy treatments, documenting treatment, and communicating with physicians and other health care workers. Responsible for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Responsible for solving practical problems, dealing with a variety of instructions in written and oral form.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full - Time
Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM & Friday 7:00 AM - Noon
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
· Evaluates patients and develops goals and treatment plans
· Administers PT modalities, procedures and protocols according to department guidelines
· Provides accurate, timely and complete documentation
· Supports and practices in accordance with Hospital policy, procedures and protocol
· Assumes responsibility for his/her professional development
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Must meet current legal requirements of licensure
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to: Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.
